About Faith

The Report Card (Faith In God)

I grew up hearing and reading about faith. As an adult I have come to know and experience what faith is and does. FAITH: loyalty, belief and trust in God. I, like so many others have found myself to the point of frustration and really wanting to be enlightened when it came to the subject of faith. I would ask, What am I doing wrong? What am I not getting? Why is my life not yielding certain result

Small But Powerful Faith

Matthew's gospel depicts the essential part faith plays in the events of Jesus' life as well as in His teaching. Joseph believed that Mary's son was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by an illicit affair (1:18-25). Christ trusted the Father to sustain Him in His temptation (4:1-11) and marvelled at the faith so often displayed by those outside of God's covenant with Israel (8:5-13)...

Robed as Evangelists (Sharing Your Faith)

Despite the specifications of our individual purpose and calling; beyond our everyday titles and credentials; before we dress ourselves in the morning and set out to accomplish the day's activities, we have been robed first and foremost as evangelists. In fact, every God-given gift we bear and every holy passion within us finds its root in the soil of evangelism. Why? Because ....

No Fear Faith (Faith in God)

Anyone with sense at all would want to live without trouble in his or her lives. If we could, we would live without disappointments, mistakes, mishaps or mix-ups. We would never see a dark day, dark side or a dark cloud in the sky. We would love to live without ever having an argument or uttering a harsh word to friend, family or foe. There would be no stress, tension, tension headaches, worry ...

Learn To Trust The Delay (Faith in God)

"We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." - Proverbs 16:9.
Thank God. I so love how God teaches me life lessons in the midst of my ordinary, every-day situations. But often as we are about to start a new journey, going to the next level, or experience something different, something happens and there is a delay. But I have learned (well. Honestly? I am learning....) to trust ....

Faith Over Fear (Faith in God)

On any given day I consider myself a man of great faith. Not because of stories that I have read or been told, but because of my own personal experiences. Encounters where I know it was nothing but the strength, love and grace of God that brought me through.
Yes I am a strong believer that my faith must always trump my fears. There is not a magic potion for increasing your faith, it is a process.

Reality Check (Faith In God)

A close friend was the victim of a home invasion last year while her husband was at work and she was in the house with her 2-year-old. The intruder broke in through a downstairs window, rummaged through a few things on the first floor then walked upstairs to lock eyes with my friend and her daughter who calmly asked, "Mommy, who is that?"

A Greater Witness (Sharing Your Faith)

All right, which way will it be? Shall we listen to men, or shall we listen to God? That's easy. We will listen to God because His witness is greater than men's witness. God's witness or God's word says "that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us... And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1 John 5:14-15)

A Blueprint for Blessings (Faith in God)

Jesus assures us that the only way to live a righteous life is by not only hearing His words, but obeying them also. It is in the section of the book of Matthew that Jesus tries to convince the listener to grasp the importance of faith in Christ. It is through Christ that our righteousness is obtained. It is through Christ that salvation is assured. It is through Christ that we obtain the ....

THE TWELVE LAWS OF FAITH

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."(Hebrews 11:1). Faith is a spiritual substance. When you have this spiritual substance in you, it communicates to you a certain inner knowing that the thing you are hoping for is certainly established, even before you see any material evidence that it has happened. Faith in God must be from the heart.
