The Need For Divine Change - Multitudes are without God, without Christ, without hope in the world. That is the way Paul speaks of them. That distinction is there throughout the Bible - not just here - but here the Holy Spirit directs the apostle to focus on this distinction. Those who are in the flesh: that is who are unregenerate, who are not born of God, who not in Christ.
Let Marriage Be Held In Honour Among All - The Bible is telling us: Let marriage always be thought of as precious. Let it be treasured like gold and silver and rare jewels. Let it be revered and respected like the noblest, most virtuous person you have ever known.
Parable of the Vine and the Branches, John 15:5 - Many are called to become leaders, assisting others in their spiritual journey. Spiritual leaders - clergy or lay, seek to meet the needs of people in their own congregations or communities of faith. But spiritual leaders have unique and often overlooked needs of their own.
Confidence In Prayer - Are you tired of praying and not getting results in your prayer life? If so, you probably need to examine your confidence level in this area. A lack of confidence in prayer simply comes from not knowing God's Word. Too many Christians pray emotional, fear-based prayers, hoping that they get through to God.

Every day we thank the Lord for something that He has done. We thank Him for His blessings and we thank Him for who He is. We thank Him for the blood running warm in our veins, the activity of our limbs, having the opportunity to be clothed and be in our right minds. Today He would have us to consider that we also give thanks for His grace and His mercy.
Maybe your wound is fresh. Or perhaps it is old. A family member abused you. A spouse was unfaithful to you. A friend betrayed you. A co-worker used you for a stepping stone. Someone you trusted let you down. You are hurting. And you are angry…at life…at people…perhaps even at God. But not only are you hurting, you are bitter. Part of you wants to cry, but the other part of you wants to fight back
Most prayer begins with a human need. The need is not put aside; it is presented to God in the hope that God will act, and the body will be healed, the relationship restored, the job acquired or the decision made. The hope is that the need will be resolved to our satisfaction. Obviously, a need is an expression of lack; it is something we do not have, and if we think about what we do not have,...
I have always wondered why the mouse, even after seeing the lethal contraption of the mouse trap and his impending demise, still decides to sneak out in the middle of the night to get the cheese not considering the outcome of death. Similarly, the problem with sin is that our flesh is severely enticed by it, and it attracts the fleshly part of us like the luring scent of cheese to a mouse.
There is power in EVERY word that leaves your mouth – it is up to you whether the words you choose will build or destroy. You have a choice. You can turn it all around simply by taming and re-training your tongue. Make a decision to speak life only and not death; to find and accentuate the positive instead of the negative. Of all the members of our body, the tongue is the most difficult to control
As this year comes to an end, there is one thing we can say: we have survived! A survivor is one who has remained existent and outlasted the circumstance and situation; one who did not give up, but hung in there. We have made it to the finishing line. Now all we have to do is cross over into 2012. Let us usher into the New Year 2012 with faith and confidence trusting God with our lives...
All believers in Christ are united through Christ. The Holy Spirit brings Christ into us, reveals to us the truth in the Scriptures and the falsehoods in the world around us, and gives us gifts to build each other up and help others find God's grace, mercy, and good news. The time that Christ most clearly binds us together is when we are taking in the Bread and Wine.
The way we continually talk about our own inabilities is an insult to our Creator. To complain over our incompetence is to accuse God falsely of having overlooked us. Get into the habit of examining from God’s perspective those things that sound so humble to men. You will be amazed at how unbelievably inappropriate and disrespectful they are to Him.
In one of the oldest stories of the Bible, the heart of a mere mortal gets caught in the crossfire between a rebel leader and the King of the universe.According to Satan, God has bought the heart of a man named Job by giving him protection in exchange for his loyalty.Although God did not give Job the answers he was looking for, his story combines with the rest of Scripture
If you hang around with church people very long, you will hear them speak about "covering." I remember when I first heard this phrase, I assumed they were talking about covering up. But there is a huge difference between covering and covering up. The only love that can cancel out sin is the love of Jesus manifested in his death on the cross.
